Boilers

Types of Boilers

Combi Boilers: These are compact units that heat water on demand. They don’t need a separate hot water storage tank. They’re popular for smaller homes and apartments due to their space-saving design.

System Boiler/Heat Only Boilers: These require a separate hot water tank often known as unvented hot water, which are better suited for homes with higher hot water demands (e.g. large families, multiple bathrooms). These can also be used in large properties were there are multiple zones required, and they can work in conjunction with a low loss header.

All modern boilers today are high efficiency, with some models exceeding 90%,  although yearly servicing is important to ensure the boiler operates efficiently all year round.

Boiler Benefits:

  • Compact and Space-Saving

Modern gas boilers, especially combi boilers, are designed to be compact and space-saving, making them ideal for homes with limited space.

  • Integration with Smart Controls

Many gas boilers can be paired with smart thermostats or smart heating controls, allowing for better management of energy use and comfort levels, while also offering the convenience of remote control via apps.

  • Versatility

Gas boilers can be used to heat both radiators and water for other purposes, such as underfloor heating or hot water supply, offering versatile solutions for homes.

  • Efficiency

Modern gas boilers are highly efficient at converting energy into heat. They can provide a constant and reliable supply of hot water and central heating with minimal energy loss.

  • Long Lifespan

With regular maintenance, gas boilers tend to have a long operational life, offering solid value for the money.

  • Instant Hot Water

Gas boilers can provide on-demand hot water, making them convenient for households with high water usage.

Mains Pump Boosters

Mains booster sets are essential for ensuring optimal water pressure in both residential and commercial properties. Designed to enhance the flow of water where mains pressure is insufficient, these systems automatically adjust to demand, providing a consistent and reliable water supply.

Whether for multi-story buildings, high-demand commercial premises, or rural locations with low-pressure supply, mains booster sets offer a practical and efficient solution. By integrating advanced pressure control technology, these pumps improve overall water system performance, enhancing user experience and operational efficiency.

Mains Pump Booster Benefits:

  • Enhanced Water Pressure

Delivers a strong, consistent water flow throughout the property, eliminating weak pressure issues.

  • Reliable Water Supply

Ensures continuous and sufficient water availability, critical for homes and businesses with high demand.

  • Energy Efficiency

Modern booster sets optimise power consumption, using only the necessary energy to maintain pressure.

  • Automated Operation

Equipped with smart sensors, these systems adjust pressure automatically, reducing the need for manual intervention.

  • Ideal for Multi-Story & Large Buildings

Overcomes gravity-related pressure drops, ensuring top-floor access to adequate water pressure.

  • Versatile Applications

Suitable for residential homes, commercial properties, and rural locations, adapting to various water supply challenges.

UNDERFLOOR HEATING

Underfloor heating is an advanced and efficient heating solution that delivers consistent warmth by heating the floor itself, eliminating cold spots and creating a comfortable indoor environment. Unlike traditional radiators, which rely on convection to heat the air, underfloor heating radiates heat evenly across the entire space, making it a superior choice for both residential and commercial developments.

This system not only enhances comfort but also improves energy efficiency, maximises usable space, and contributes to a cleaner, healthier living environment. Whether integrated into new builds or retrofitted into existing properties, underfloor heating is a modern and sustainable way to optimise indoor climate control.

Underfloor Heating Benefits:

  • Superior Comfort

Provides an even, gentle heat distribution, eliminating drafts and cold spots for a cozy indoor environment.

  • Energy Efficiency

Operates at lower temperatures than traditional radiators, reducing energy consumption and heating costs, especially when paired with efficient heat sources like heat pumps.

  • Space-Saving Design

With heating elements hidden beneath the floor, it frees up wall space, allowing for more flexible interior design and furniture placement.

  • Aesthetic Appeal

No visible radiators or bulky heating units, creating a sleek and modern look for any space.

  • Healthier Indoor Air Quality

Reduces air circulation and dust movement, making it an excellent choice for allergy sufferers.

  • Versatile & Future-Proof

Compatible with various energy sources, including gas boilers, heat pumps, and electric systems, ensuring long-term sustainability.

Heat Source Pumps

Heat pumps are a highly efficient and sustainable heating and cooling solution, playing a crucial role in reducing carbon emissions and transitioning to cleaner energy sources. By harnessing heat from the air or ground, heat pumps provide significantly more energy output than the electricity they consume, making them an eco-friendly alternative to traditional fossil fuel-based systems.

As the electricity grid increasingly relies on renewable energy, heat pumps become an even greener choice for residential and commercial developments. With options like air-source and ground-source systems, heat pumps offer versatile, cost-effective, and low-maintenance climate control while contributing to a more sustainable future.

Heat Source Pump Benefits:

  • Exceptional Energy Efficiency

Delivers up to 3–4 times more heat energy than the electricity consumed, significantly reducing energy bills.

  • Low Carbon Emissions

Uses electricity, which can be sourced from renewables, making it a cleaner alternative to gas or oil heating.

  • Year-Round Versatility

Provides both heating and cooling, ensuring comfort in all seasons while integrating seamlessly with smart thermostats.

  • Long-Term Cost Savings

While the initial investment may be higher, reduced energy consumption and minimal maintenance lead to substantial savings over time.

  • Durable & Low Maintenance

Requires little upkeep compared to traditional heating systems, with fewer mechanical components subject to wear and tear.

  • Future-Proof Heating Solution

Aligns with global sustainability goals and increasing government incentives, making it a forward-thinking investment for any development.

Hot Water Systems

Unvented hot water systems provide a highly efficient and space-saving solution for delivering high-pressure hot water directly from the mains supply. Unlike traditional vented systems that rely on gravity and cold water storage tanks, unvented systems offer a consistent and powerful water flow to multiple fixtures simultaneously.

With advanced safety features, energy-efficient performance, and compatibility with modern heating technologies, they are an ideal choice for residential and commercial developments. Whether installed in homes, apartments, or properties integrating renewable energy sources, unvented hot water systems ensure a reliable and convenient supply of hot water.

Hot Water System Benefits:

  • Superior Water Pressure

Delivers strong, consistent mains pressure hot water for powerful showers and rapid filling of baths, even in multi-bathroom properties.

  • Space-Saving Design

Eliminates the need for a cold water storage tank, freeing up valuable loft or storage space, making it ideal for modern homes and apartments.

  • Energy Efficiency

Works efficiently with condensing boilers and renewable energy sources like solar thermal, reducing energy consumption and heating costs.

  • Enhanced Hygiene & Water Quality

As water is drawn directly from the mains, there’s no risk of stagnant or contaminated water, unlike traditional tank-fed systems.

  • Reliable & Low Maintenance

Equipped with built-in safety mechanisms such as expansion vessels, pressure relief valves, and thermostatic controls to ensure consistent performance with minimal upkeep.

  • Ideal for High-Demand Usage

Large-capacity cylinders allow for ample hot water storage, ensuring a continuous supply for busy households, commercial buildings, and properties with multiple bathrooms.
